Developer pitches big condo project
Real estate developer ROSZAK/ADC wants to build a 348-unit, six-building condominium complex in Evanston, the largest condo project ever built in the North Shore suburb, according to Thomas Roszak, president of the Evanston firm. The developer says he has been in discussions with city planning officials about 1100 Clark St., the complex he hopes to construct just west of downtown Evanston, and expects to make a formal proposal to the Plan Commission on Feb. 20. He aims to break ground this fall. Declining to say how much the project will cost to build, Mr. Roszak estimates sales of condos in the development at $80 million. The project, which will be built over four years, will include one-to-three-bedroom units priced at $175,000 to $700,000.
