	With a baby on the way, Evanston condo buyers need more space The Chicago Sun Times 08/12/2001 Eric and Carrie Bryn were comfortable in their Evanston condo, which they bought in October 1999. But soon after moving in, they found out Carrie was expecting. With the baby on the way, the Bryns decided they needed extra room - at Chicago Avenue Place, a condominium development in Evanston. They're glad to be staying in Evanston. "Evanston is like an urban transition zone," said Eric. "We weren't ready for the suburbs, and Evanston is quiet, like a suburb, but still has the city feel. We're close to the lake and centrally located to transportation, shopping and neighborhood cafes." The couple is working with the same builder, Thomas Roszak of Roszak/ADC, who built their current condo. About buying their first home, Eric said: "We weren't sure what to expect when working with a developer. Tom was involved in every step of the way and does great quality work. Not only does he take care of the residents in his buildings, he also works to improve the outside space of the buildings, whether it's new sidewalks or landscaping. We knew we really wanted to work with him again." Chicago Avenue Place is a "dog-friendly" site, which is important to the Bryns. (Their dog's name is Otto.) Their 3-bedroom, 2 bath condo is scheduled for completion in early 2003. Base prices range from $172,000 to $735,000. Sizes range from 730 to 2,800 square feet. Units have 1 to 3 bedrooms. Some plans have dens. One or two parking spaces are included. Building amenities include a swimming pool, whirlpool, tot lot and heated parking.
